A Meat Draw is traditional in this part of the world. In days gone by, when meat was short, it gave locals a chance to put meat on the table, when otherwise they might not have been able to afford it. At The Cricketer's Arms our Meat Draw is a weekly raffle on a Sunday lunchtime of fresh meat including Beef, Lamb, Chicken and Pork supplied by Crick's Butchers of Wheatley. To take part, purchase tickets (£1 gets you 5 goes) during the preceeding week or on a Sunday lunchtime and if your name comes out of the hat, then you're a winner.
